Care by material
- Clay bowl: Clay without a glaze is open-pored and soaks up liquid. A glaze seals the surface and makes cleaning easier.
- Glass: Glass is dense and, unlike unglazed clay, does not take up liquid into pores.
- Silicone grommets: The maximum temperature for a silicone part is given by the manufacturer. The technical literature does not give a uniform limit.
- Metal parts: Stainless steel is a high-alloy steel and likewise a dense material.
