Buying vapes: combining device, pods and liquid correctly

In the vape shop you find e-cigarettes, pod systems, prefilled pods, liquids and Big Puffs in separate product groups. Once you know your system, you find pods, coils and liquids faster and only order what fits your device.

Pod system or e-cigarette with tank

A pod system works with pods that you either fill yourself or buy prefilled, depending on the device. E-cigarettes with a tank use replaceable coils and are refilled with liquid. Pods only fit within their series, coils only fit the matching tank.

Prefilled pods are filled at the factory and replaced once empty. They only fit the device they are made for, so compare the device name on the product page before you order.

Liquids and mixing your own

Liquids differ in flavour, nicotine strength and mixing ratio. For mixing your own there are longfills: flavours in larger bottles that you top up with base.

Big Puffs and heated tobacco

For Big Puffs, compare tank volume, battery and refillability directly on the product page. Heated tobacco devices such as IQOS heat tobacco instead of vaporising a liquid and have their own product group.

Frequently asked questions about buying vapes

Which pod fits my device?

Pods only fit the series they are made for. Take the exact device name and compare it with the compatibility details on the product page; if anything is unclear, our team will help.

What is the difference between a pod and a coil?

The pod holds the liquid, the coil is the heating element that vaporises it. Some pods have a built-in coil, in others you replace the coil separately.

What does the mixing ratio of a liquid mean?

It states the share of propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerine (VG). Which ratio suits you depends on the coil in your device.

I do not know which system suits me. Where do I start?

Start with the vape advisor, it guides you to a choice. If you already have a device, the model name is enough to search for pods, coils and liquids directly.

From what age can I order vape products?

We sell e-cigarettes, pods and liquids only to people aged 18 or over. The age check is part of the ordering process.
