How the mixer calculates
Three formulas, no magic
Topping up a longfill. The nicotine spreads over the whole bottle, including the flavour.
Shots = target × bottle ÷ shot strength
Base = bottle − flavour − shots
60 ml bottle, 10 ml flavour, 3 mg/ml: 9 ml shots and 41 ml base – with one whole shot 10 ml and 40 ml base, giving 3.3 mg/ml.
Shortfill with shots. The shots dilute themselves too.
Shots = target × content ÷ (shot strength − target)
50 ml shortfill in the 60 ml bottle plus one 20 mg/ml shot gives 60 ml at 3.3 mg/ml. Nothing more fits in.
Mixing your own. Flavour by dosage, shots by strength, the rest is base.
Flavour = amount × dosage
Shots = target × amount ÷ shot strength
100 ml with 10 % flavour and 3 mg/ml: 10 ml flavour, 15 ml shots, 75 ml base.
Mix safely
- Adults only. This product contains nicotine which is a highly addictive substance.
- Nicotine is toxic. Wear gloves when mixing, wash off splashes immediately, keep everything out of reach of children and pets.
- Never vape flavour neat. Longfill flavour is a concentrate and is always topped up with base.
- At most 20 mg/ml and 10 ml per bottle. That is what the Tobacco Products Directive requires – which is why the mixer works in whole 10 ml shots.
- Steeping. Shake well and let it rest for 1–7 days, then the flavour is rounded.
- Guide values. Calculated by volume; drops left in syringe and bottle are not included.
