Battery and fill volume: two values for daily use
Battery capacity determines how long your pod lasts: compact devices are often around 800 to 1000 mAh, larger pods bring 1300 mAh and more. How far you get with it depends on power, coil and your draw behaviour. The fill volume decides how often you refill - the bigger the tank, the less often you top up. Changing the coil and care: keeping your pod in shape
The most important maintenance is changing the coil or pod: with some devices you only swap the coil, with many compact systems it sits fixed in the pod and you change the whole pod. The symptoms are clear: the taste turns flat or musty, the vapour thinner, sometimes it gurgles. Then the coil is spent - not the device.
To make the device itself last, a look at the details is worthwhile: clean the contacts now and then with a dry cloth, do not run the battery completely flat and do not charge it in direct sun. Change coil or pod in good time, keep contacts clean and dry, charge the battery gently - an open pod needs no more care than that in daily life.
