The taste value sweet marks varieties whose flavour is clearly sweet, whether through fruit, dessert or candy. Because this applies to a great many varieties, it describes a basic direction rather than a profile. On its own the value offers little guidance, as it covers fruit, dessert and confectionery alike.
Which kind of sweetness?
- Fruity: by far the most frequent pairing, in other words sweet fruit.
- Fresh and cold: sweetness with a bright note or with a cooling effect.
- Exotic: sweet tropical fruit.
- Especially intense: strongly flavoured sweet varieties.
In the single-hole design, the central cone with the opening rises almost to the rim; the tobacco lies all around it, and molasses collects in the reservoir instead of the stem. Sweet varieties come from Al Fakher, Darkside, Aino, Whitecloud Berlin and 187 Strassenbande, among others.
