ACHO BRA Caramel Ceramic Garlic Grater - handcrafted & sustainable

Garlic Grater - ACHO BRA - Caramel is a handcrafted kitchen utensil made of high-quality ceramic that allows you to grate garlic easily, cleanly, and efficiently. The Caramel model combines elegant colors in black and caramel brown, bringing style and functionality to your kitchen. This garlic grater is made in a small, family-run factory in Spain, where sustainability, fair working conditions, and high quality are particularly valued. Each GARLiC PLATE is hand-painted and glazed, making it a true unique piece. With your purchase, you not only support traditional craftsmanship but also contribute to environmental protection.

How to use the GARLiC PLATE - ACHO BRA Caramel optimally

Using the ceramic garlic grater is uncomplicated: peel a garlic clove and grate it with light pressure on the porous side of the ACHO BRA. This releases the essential oils, allowing the garlic to develop a strong, spicy aroma. This method ensures a consistent texture and full flavor in your dishes. Thanks to the fine grating surface, no piece is too large on the plate, and the intense flavor is evenly distributed. Cleaning is equally simple: rinse the grating area under warm water or place the plate in the dishwasher.

Sustainable quality and fair production in Spain

Each GARLiC PLATE ACHO BRA Caramel is produced in Spain in a family-run operation committed to traditional pottery techniques. The clay is carefully selected, hand-shaped, and fired at high temperatures to ensure longevity and durability. The glaze gives the product a smooth, easy-to-clean surface, while the hand-painted design makes each plate unique. The regional production process keeps the carbon footprint low. So, you get a product that is not only functional but also environmentally friendly.

Why the Garlic Grater ACHO BRA Caramel should not be missing in any kitchen

With the Caramel ceramic garlic grater, you fill a gap in your kitchen equipment. It makes crushing garlic easy and hygienic without the need for a knife or additional tools. Brüstuck Steingut

Brüstuck Steingut is the ceramics line of Hookain GmbH from Cologne: handmade cups, bowls, plates and garlic graters from a family workshop in Spain. At Hookain Onlineshop you will find several shapes and glazes.

Handmade in Spain

Every piece is shaped, glazed and fired by hand. The clay body contains two kinds of grog, that is clay that has already been fired and ground. Firing at a high temperature makes the stoneware sturdier than plain clay and less translucent than porcelain. The glaze, the glass-like coating on the clay, is satin matt and reactive. It flows differently in the kiln depending on temperature, firing time and position. That is why every piece is one of a kind with its own shading.

Cups, bowls and plates

For coffee and tea there is the ceramic cup Taza with motifs such as Blaze Mir Einen or Fog Your Life, and the cup Milky Twist in Mixed Clay, whose shape and colour gradient vary from piece to piece. The Breakfast Bowl Morning Glory in Egg Shell or Shark Skin is microwave-safe and ovenproof up to 220 °C. Then there are the Plate and Snack Plate in Washed Vintage Blue from the edition „Das Perfekte Dinner“, thrown on the potter’s wheel and glazed in brown and blue-grey. The Smile High ashtray is also part of the line.

Acho Bra garlic grater

The Acho Bra is a small ceramic plate with a rough grating surface. Peel the garlic clove and rub it in circles over the surface with a little pressure until a fine paste forms. Add it straight to the dressing or marinade. The colours have names such as Lagoon, Espresso, Toxic or Lava.

Can Brüstuck Steingut go in the dishwasher?

The Breakfast Bowl Morning Glory is dishwasher-safe, and the plates in Washed Vintage Blue have a dishwasher-safe glaze. For cups and garlic graters, the information is given on each item.
