The Moze Flare charcoal basket has a heavy shell of coated cast iron with an angular faceted look and a handle of powder-coated aluminium. The Black version is finished in black and anthracite. At about 1.6 kg with a low centre of gravity it stands stably, and up to about 28 natural charcoals in 26 mm format fit into it.
Material and workmanship
The cast-iron shell is coated to protect it against corrosion. The main body is still iron, however: if the coating is damaged or the basket stands in the rain, it can rust. Because of the handmade process, slight unevenness in the coating is possible. A slotted grate for the charcoal sits in the shell.
Handling
The handle is about 37.5 cm high, and on its side there is a hook from which you hang the charcoal tongs. The cast-iron shell gets hot during use – only place the basket on heat-resistant surfaces and let it cool down after the session.

Frequently asked questions
Are the charcoal tongs included?
No. The matching Moze Flare charcoal tongs are available separately.
Can the basket stay outside?
Better not. Protect it from rain and moisture, otherwise the iron can rust at damaged spots.
Why is it so heavy?
The shell is cast iron. The weight lowers the centre of gravity, so the basket does not tip over as easily.

Insane build quality
Really sturdy, feels properly heavy. Finally something High End made of solid cast iron instead of those cheap aluminium things
