X-Schischa Candy Colour Orange is a dye for the water in your bowl. It makes the water opaque: instead of clear and see-through, it looks milky in pastel shades or deep black. Candy Colour is available in Pink, Orange and Black – this article is the Orange shade.
Opaque instead of see-through
Candy Colour turns the bowl water opaque. Depending on the amount, the shade becomes lighter or richer. How much you need depends on the bowl and on the shade you want to achieve.
How to use Candy Colour
- Fill the bowl with water as usual.
- Add Candy Colour directly to the water. Start with a little.
- Swirl the bowl until the colour is evenly distributed.
- If the shade is not quite right yet, add a little more step by step until the intensity is right.
- Set up the shisha as usual.
After the session
Empty the bowl right after smoking and rinse it with lukewarm water to prevent discolouration. Clean the bowl thoroughly on a regular basis so that no colour deposits build up.
Note
Candy Colour is only intended for colouring shisha water. Do not eat and do not drink.

Frequently asked questions
How much Candy Colour do I need?
Start with a small amount and increase it slowly. That way you hit the desired shade without oversaturating the bowl.
Does Candy Colour stain the bowl permanently?
If colour is left standing in the bowl, it can leave discolouration and deposits. Emptying and rinsing the bowl right after the session prevents this.
Do Pink, Orange and Black differ?
Only in shade. Application and cleaning are the same.

Colouring agents for the hookah base
The colouring agents go into the water of the base, the glass beneath the stem. They change only the look; the set-up of the hookah stays the same. Several effects are available:
- Sparkle: glitter particles floating in the water, for example in gold, ruby, turquoise or purple
- Neon Glow: fluorescent colour that glows under a UV lamp
- Candy Colour: strong, even single colours such as pink, orange or black

Pink Sparkle
Glitter in pink: the particles move in the water with every draw and glitter.
Where does the colouring agent go?
Into the water in the glass base, before you put the stem on. It does not belong in the bowl.
What sets Sparkle apart from Neon Glow?
Sparkle adds glitter to the water, Neon Glow tints it fluorescent so that it glows under a UV lamp.
Will the glass base come clean again?
Yes. After the session you pour out the water and rinse the base thoroughly with warm water, several times if you used glitter.

Habe mir das X-Schischa Färbemittel in Gold Sparkle bestellt und bin wirklich begeistert, es braucht nicht viel und die ganze Bowl ist eingefärbt, die Dose hält bei mir also auch ewig. Man muss die Bowl vielleicht einmal mehr ausspülen als sonst aber das ist es aufjedenfall ab und zu mal wert.
