The Argile Tradi No. 1 is a classic hookah with an engraved brass stem, a glass base with gold bands, one hose port and a push-fit joint, 74 cm tall.

Engraved brass, old-school build
The brass stem is engraved with tendrils all round and has two rounded knots. At the top sits a wide coal tray with a wavy rim. You push the stem into the neck of the base; there is no thread. The Tradi deliberately has no purge valve – it smokes like a hookah of the old school.

Glass base with gold bands
The bell-shaped base has slim gold rings on the neck and a wide Greek-key border above the gold-rimmed foot. The glass comes in clear, white, dark blue, Arua Blue and black. In the clear base you see the downstem and water level best. Fill in enough water for the downstem to sit a good two centimetres deep.

Does the Tradi No. 1 have a purge valve?
No. It is deliberately built the traditional way, without a purge valve.
How is the stem attached?
You push the brass stem into the neck of the glass base. There is no thread.
How do the variants differ?
Only in the colour of the glass base: clear, white, dark blue, Arua Blue or black. Stem, tray, bowl and hose are the same.

Hatte mehr erwartet 👍
Das Blubbern ist mir viel zu laut, abends in der Gartenlaube nervt das richtig. Die Zustellung hat einen Tag länger gebraucht als angegeben.

Aufbau ohne Stress
Ich bin kein Profi, sondern rauche ab und zu mit den Jungs. Blitzversand, damit hatte ich nicht gerechnet. Beim Anfassen merkt man, dass hier nicht gespart wurde. Ablagerungen setzen sich kaum fest, das spart mir einiges an Schrubben. Auf dem Tisch wirkt sie richtig satt und sicher. Zerlegen und wieder zusammensetzen klappt ohne jeden Kraftaufwand. Den Preis finde ich knapp an der Grenze dessen, was ich ausgeben wollte. Vier Sterne sind verdient.
