Lower section
Glass base and ports
The stem stands on a small glass base, with the hose ports just above it. The downstem reaches about 1 to 2 cm into the water. Aluminium is light and does not rust.

Molasses catcher
Common 18/8 joint
The catcher between stem and bowl keeps molasses out of the stem. Because 18/8 is a standard size, other bowls fit too.
Setup
How to get started

Add water
Fill the base until the downstem is 1 to 2 cm under.

Fit the stem
Place the stem on the base and connect the silicone hose.

Set the catcher
Put the catcher on the stem and the clay bowl on top.

Add the chimney cap
Place the cap on the bowl and set the coals with the tongs.

What's in the box
All parts come apart for rinsing. Clean the clay bowl only once it has fully cooled.

Solidly built
First pull and I was surprised how effortless it is. Came across the shop through a recommendation. Every connection feels snug and precise when you push it together. The shade differs slightly from the product image, though it doesn’t bother me much.
