Setting up a Steamulation: Mini, Pure and Ultimate step by step

You can set up a Steamulation in a few minutes: fill the glass base, set the dip tube, fit the base unit with SteamClick 360, mount the stem, tray and bowl, connect the hose, do a draw test. For the glass base you need neither screws nor seals. The steps apply to Mini Generation II, Pure and Ultimate.

Mini, Pure and Ultimate at a glance

All three series use SteamClick 360 and an adjustable dip tube. They differ in height, number of hose connections and diffuser. Neither the bowl nor the hose is included with any model.

SteamClick 360: fitting the glass base without screws

SteamClick 360 is the quick-release connection between the base unit and the glass base. You put the base unit on, it clicks into place and can then be turned all the way round. Screws, threads and rubber seals on the glass base are not needed. With Xpansion, other Steamulation glass bases also fit without an extra adapter, for example the Mini Gen 2 Bowl with Steam Click.

Plug-in Option: plug-in glass bases on the Mini

With the Plug-in Option, the Mini Generation II also takes glass bases with a plug-in system. The matching Steamulation seal is included. When fitting, check that the seal sits evenly all the way round and that the dip tube stands freely in the water. If the seal sits crooked, the hookah draws in unwanted air.

Setting up a Steamulation: step by step

Rinse and fill the glass base
Rinse the glass base with clean water and stand it on a level surface. Pour in cold water so that the dip tube later dips in about 1 to 2 cm.
Set the dip tube and fit the base unit
Set the dip tube to your water level using Dip Tube Control. Then you place the base unit with the SteamClick lower part onto the glass base until it clicks into place. On the Mini, you turn the dip tube over if you want to smoke without the diffuser.
Mount the stem, tray and bowl
Fit the stem with the cone adapter, lay the charcoal tray on and push the bowl adapter on at the top. You insert the bowl with a matching seal. With the thread adapter from an Upgrade Kit, the tray and stem sit firmly.
Connect the hose and do a draw test
Push the hose adapter into the side of the base unit and connect the hose. Close any free connections with the plugs. Put your hand over the bowl and draw: it should bubble evenly. Only then does the fully glowing charcoal go on the bowl.

Setting the water level and draw

With Dip Tube Control, you adapt the length of the dip tube to the glass base and water level instead of pouring water out. The deeper the tube dips, the harder the draw becomes. Too little water, on the other hand, cools and filters less well. On the Ultimate, you set the dip tube in 10 steps and regulate the draw itself with the Airflow Control on the hose connection. The Advanced Diffusor of the Ultimate uses a float to keep the water in the dip tube, even when you purge hard.

Purging and cleaning

The Pure and Ultimate purge via Purge Pro. The valve balls stay in place, and you do not have to take them out to purge. After the session, let all parts cool down, pour out the water and rinse the glass base with warm, not hot, water. Rinse the seals with water only.
