The Laziza Phönix Set is a chimney bowl set consisting of a clay bowl, chimney attachment and bowl screen. The bowl is made of a clay blend; the attachment and screen are made of metal. Instead of aluminium foil, you place the coals on the attachment.
Chimney attachment instead of aluminium foil
A chimney attachment replaces the foil. The coals sit on top of the attachment, not on the tobacco, and the chimney dissipates excess heat. This makes heat management easier: the tobacco receives the heat from above and does not burn as quickly. Stretching and piercing foil is no longer necessary.

- Clay bowl: approx. 8 cm tall, approx. 6.5 cm diameter
- Chimney attachment: approx. 6.8 cm diameter
- Bowl screen: approx. 8.5 cm diameter
The attachment fits bowls with an outer diameter of up to about 6.5 cm. You can therefore also use it on other bowls, provided they fit this size.
Material
The clay bowl is made of a clay blend and kept in brown. The chimney attachment and bowl screen are silver-coloured and made of metal. Clay stores heat. A clay bowl is porous: when it gets hot, molasses can soak in and seep out again as it cools.
How to pack the Laziza Phönix Set
- Briefly mix the tobacco in the tin so the molasses is evenly distributed.
- Sprinkle tobacco loosely into the clay bowl and do not press it down.
- Put on the chimney attachment with bowl screen and check that everything sits firmly.
- Light the coals, let them glow through and place them. Start with a few coals and add more if needed.
- Control the heat via the number and position of the coals. Too much coal at once burns the tobacco.
Care
Wait until the bowl and attachment have cooled down completely before cleaning them. Hot clay does not tolerate a cold shock. Then rinse the bowl with lukewarm water.
