There is no clay-style bowl made of aluminium here. The material appears on parts that work together with the bowl: HMDs, bowl attachments, a grid that guards the charcoal, and foil pokers and phunnel plugs.
What the material means
- Heat conduction: As a material, aluminium conducts heat many times better than stainless steel and far better than ceramics or glass.
- HMD: An HMD consists of a metal attachment and a lid. The charcoal goes into the attachment, and you control the heat with the lid.
- Material mix: Some items combine aluminium with wood, for instance as the handle of a foil poker, or with plastic. Others come in a set with a clay bowl.
Whether an HMD fits your bowl depends on the lip, which should be flat and wide enough for the attachment to sit level. Aluminium parts come from brands including ONMO Shisha, Huka, Laziza and INVI Hookah.
