Base and shot at the same ratio
The base is the flavourless carrier liquid made of propylene glycol (PG) and glycerine (VG). The shot uses the same ingredients plus nicotine and brings your own mix to the strength you want. Pick base and shot at the same ratio and the finished liquid stays even.

Working out the final strength
Multiply the shot volume by the shot strength and divide by the total volume. One 10 ml shot at 12 mg/ml in 60 ml of finished mix therefore gives 2 mg/ml. Add a second shot and the figure doubles.

Which ratio suits my pod system?
The 50PG/50VG. Mixes with 70 % VG wick more slowly in small coils.
Do the base or the shots have a taste of their own?
No, both are flavourless. The taste comes from your flavour concentrate or longfill.
Can I mix without any nicotine?
Yes. The base on its own is nicotine-free, so simply leave out the shot.
What is a longfill?
A bottle holding concentrated flavour with space left over. You top it up with base and, if you like, a shot.
