AO Hookah · AO - HMD - Sandblasted
€22.40*
The AO HMD Sandblasted is a sandblasted holder with a lid that you place on the head and fill with coals. It measures around 7.4 cm in diameter, weighs around 180 g and initially holds two to two and a half coals. The charcoal sits in the holder instead of on aluminium foil.
Charcoal depot, lid with lever
The coals sit protected in the holder, and the structure also acts as a windshield. The lid has a long lever, so you do not have to touch it with your fingers. Once the coals have burned down a little, three will fit too.
Controlling the heat
You control the heat with the lid and the number of coals. If the smoke gets too hot or harsh, open the lid or take out a coal. If the heat drops, add more.
How to use the HMD
- Pack the tobacco loosely into the head and do not press it down.
- Place the HMD on the head.
- Put two to three well-glowing coals inside and put the lid on.
- Take a few minutes to get it going and adjust the heat with the lid and the coals.
Care and note
Do not put the HMD on the charcoal burner or the hob to preheat it. After the session, let it cool down completely before cleaning it.

Frequently asked questions
How many coals fit inside?
Initially two to two and a half; once the coals have burned down a little, three.
Does the HMD fit my head?
That depends on the rim diameter of your head. The HMD measures around 7.4 cm in diameter, so compare that with the rim of your head.
Do I still need aluminium foil?
No, the charcoal sits in the holder. You do not have to stretch and perforate foil.

Sauberer Geschmack
Hier stimmt das Gesamtpaket. Für jemanden wie mich, der sich mit der Hitze schwertut, ideal. Auch wenn die Kohlen schon länger liegen, bleibt die Note klar. Von mir gibt es eine klare Empfehlung.

Low-maintenance
Once it has cooled down, it’s quickly clean again under the tap. On very wide bowls it sits a bit close to the edge for my liking.

Drei Sterne
Mein Paket ging erst in die falsche Filiale, war dann aber doch da. Mir ist der Tabak damit meistens zu mild, egal was ich versuche.
