An HMD (heat management device) is placed on the bowl and is meant to pass on the heat of the charcoal to the bowl more evenly. The standard assignment marks a bowl that belongs to the usual fitting size.
- Designs: including bowls with five holes, in colours and glazes from Classic through Glaze to Midnight Blue.
- Manufacturers: Lavart Hookah, Shanti, Darkside and AO Hookah, among others.
- Material: ceramic, stoneware and other materials; the detail is given on each item.
The assignment serves as a guide and does not replace a look at the dimensions. What decides are the rim seat and diameter of the bowl and the details given by the HMD manufacturer for its model. If in doubt, comparing the measurements on the product pages of both parts helps.
