Device and head: two figures
- The device states what power it delivers or the range in which you set it.
- The head carries its own recommendation, usually as a range in watts. It depends on its resistance and design.
- Together they give the setting: if 28 W lies within the head's range, the value fits; otherwise you choose a lower setting or a different head.
In physical terms: the higher the power, the more heat is produced per second in the heating wire, and the more energy the device draws from the battery. The heads a model takes are listed in the product details.
