Bowl Busters hookah bowls
Bowl Busters are limited Hookain heads in small runs. Phunnel and multi-hole head sit side by side here. That matters because the head shape determines not only the look but also how you pack the head and control the heat.

Bowl Busters for striking head setups
The Flat Eric - Bowl Busters Edition is a very flat phunnel made of black stoneware clay, made by hand without machines in Seville, for 9-12 g of tobacco. The 5 Hole - Pumpkin Splatter - Limited Edition is a multi-hole head with five holes and an economical reservoir for 10-14 g.
Phunnel or multi-hole: the important difference
On a phunnel the tobacco lies around a raised centre hole; the molasses stays in the head and does not run into the stem. On a multi-hole head such as the 5-Hole, air is drawn through several holes in the base straight through the tobacco. There you pack loosely so the holes stay free.
Flat Eric and 5-Hole compared
Hookain tip: Pack the 5-Hole loosely and spread the tobacco evenly so none of the five holes gets pressed shut. With the Flat Eric a little tobacco is enough because of the shallow reservoir.

How to choose your Bowl Busters head
The easiest way is to start from your own routine: do you prefer phunnel or multi-hole, and how much tobacco do you want to use per head? These questions help you choose more than the design alone.
The Flat Eric is meant for shorter sessions with Virginia and dark leaf. Because it is made by hand from ceramic, shape and colour differ slightly from the photo, and bleeding cannot be prevented completely.
