Xschischa x Werkbund bowls

Xschischa x Werkbund for your setup

A Phunnel makes particular sense if you want to build moister tobacco cleanly. Thanks to the raised hole in the middle, the molasses stays in the bowl, and your setup can be built in a controlled way with aluminium foil or a suitable HMD. Especially if you value reproducible packing, this design is usually the safe choice.

Hookain tip: If you are torn between several colour variants, decide first according to your regular setup. On light hookahs, high-contrast bowls often look more striking, while on dark setups many people prefer calmer tones.

What makes the Polygon Phunnels special

The Polygon Phunnel is a handmade bowl made from a clay mixture that stores heat and distributes it evenly, with a heat-resistant glaze. The colours change, the design stays the same. That is practical for you because you do not have to jump between completely different shapes first, but can choose the right look within the same series.

What matters with the Polygon

With a Phunnel like this, many people look mainly at three points: bowl packing, heat management and suitability for everyday use. A Phunnel works well for dense to looser builds, depending on how you otherwise smoke your tobacco. If you already have established distances to foil or HMD, a familiar form factor usually fits into your setup faster than a complete switch to a different bowl type.

How to choose the right variant

If you already know that you want a Phunnel, the main question left in this category is the colour. Besides plain variants such as White or Black, there are also combinations such as Blue White, Pink White, Purple Black, Red White or Yellow White. Functionally the orientation stays the same, but visually you can match your bowl to your hookah.

For everyday use, it is worth looking at your usual smoking habits. If you often build the same tobacco and want a fixed setup routine, it is pleasant to always use the same bowl. That way you do not have to readjust your packing every time. If you use different tobacco varieties more often, a Phunnel still gives you a solid basis, because excess molasses does not drain downwards as easily as with classic multi-hole bowls.

Practical tip: Pack the tobacco in the Phunnel cleanly and without clogging the hole in the middle. That way the heat can work more evenly and you avoid making the setup needlessly sluggish.
