POPO Phunnel by Hookain
The POPO is a Hookain phunnel for anyone who likes to build their setup cleanly and in a controlled way. The head is made of stoneware and fired at 1250 °C. The material is very dense and conducts heat well, and there is a roughened lip on which your HMD sits securely.

POPO as a Hookain phunnel in everyday use
In practice that mainly means: a compact phunnel clearly aimed at tidy handling. If you are not looking for a huge head but for a model with a manageable reservoir and a clean seat for your heat management, the POPO fits well in this direction.
Hookain tip: With ceramics, small differences in colour, glaze and shape can occur. Deviations like this are normal for ceramics.
The key data on the POPO
| Property | Detail |
|---|---|
| Type | Phunnel |
| Brand | Hookain |
| Material | Stoneware |
| Firing temperature | 1250 °C |
| Reservoir | approx. 13-17 g, depending on build |
| Lip | roughened |
| HMD seat | common HMDs close cleanly at the outer edge |
That keeps the POPO below a classic 20 g head. The fill amount depends, as usual, on how loosely or compactly you build.
What to look out for when building
With a phunnel of around 13 to 17 g reservoir, a calm, clean build is worthwhile. Distribute the tobacco loosely and take care not to block the hole in the middle. That keeps the airflow free and the setup easier to judge. With more compact heads in particular, packing too firmly often makes the start of the session needlessly restless.
If you smoke with an HMD, the roughened lip plays to its strength. Common HMDs close cleanly at the outer edge. That is practical if you value a stable seat and repeatable builds.
Compact reservoir, many colours
The POPO is not aimed at builds where you simply want as much tobacco as possible in the head. The concept is more compact: less fill amount, but a tidy setup. That is exactly why you should not automatically build beyond the stated range just because some space remains visible.
A smaller reservoir can make particular sense if you are testing different flavours or want to plan sessions more precisely. The POPO remains a classic phunnel: molasses stays in the reservoir, and your setup can be run cleanly with an HMD.
Practical tip: Start with controlled heat and work towards your setup. That way you notice sooner how POPO, tobacco, packing style and HMD work together for you.
In this category you will find the POPO in various colour variants, for example Fave, Lila Luv, Blue Bubble, Steam, Ya Nero or Rokoko. That does not change the basic design: here you are looking for a Hookain phunnel of the same series, just in different looks.
If for a head a compact reservoir, stoneware and a clear HMD seat matter more to you than sheer size, the POPO is a sensible option within the Hookain Phunnel Series.
Who the POPO suits
The POPO is right if you are looking for a Hookain phunnel with a manageable reservoir and a straightforward setup. It is especially suited to smokers who build deliberately and want a head that does not turn out needlessly large.
If that is exactly the kind of compact phunnel you are looking for, you are in the right category. If you are unsure about the choice, our Head Finder can help.
