Flavourings labelled minty carry a mint note, but the direction can vary a great deal. The further flavour labels show where a flavouring is heading, and therefore what you can mix in.
Three minty directions
Bright: With fresh and cold, the mint stands for a clear note with a cooling effect. Further cooling flavourings strengthen this effect.
Sweet: If sweet is listed, the mint moves towards confectionery, such as bubblegum.
Dark: With spicy or tart, the mint combines with a dry note of the kind tobacco or tea flavours have.
A mint note comes through clearly in blends. So when you add to a minty flavouring, start from the dosage information and increase the addition carefully. Whether a minty flavouring is a concentrate or a longfill can be seen in the product description. Minty flavourings are available from Dinner Lady, Aroma Syndikat, Sique, Dampflion and SC, among others.
