The Geekvape Aegis Boost 3 is a pod mod kit with a built-in 3000 mAh battery and up to 60 watts. The pod holds 5 ml, fills from the top and uses B-Series coils in plug-and-pull format. Two coils are included: 0.2 ohm for DL and 0.6 ohm for RDL. This version has a Blue body.
Battery and power
The battery is built into the device and charges via USB-C at 5 V and 2 A. Power is adjustable from 5 to 60 watts, and the resistance range is 0.1 to 2.0 ohm. The AS 4.0 chipset offers six modes: Power (VW), Boost, Smart, ECO, TC/TCR and Memory. In Smart mode, the device adjusts power to suit the coil. All readings are shown on the 0.96-inch colour display. The body is protected against water and dust to IP68 and measures 121.5 x 42.5 mm.
Pod, coils and draw
The Aegis Boost 2 Cartridge holds 5 ml and fills from the top without needing removal. Adjust the airflow at the top of the pod. The pre-installed 0.2 ohm coil is designed for DL at 50 to 58 watts; the 0.6 ohm coil for more restricted draws (RDL) at 15 to 25 watts. Additional B-Series coils with 0.3 and 0.4 ohm are available separately under Atomizer coils. Aegis Boost 2 and Boost 3 pods are interchangeable; according to the retailer, they are not intended for the Boost Pro 2.
Getting started with the Aegis Boost 3
- Fully charge the battery via USB-C.
- Before first filling, wet the coil with a few drops of e-liquid and leave it to soak for a few minutes.
- Insert the coil into the pod, fill the pod from the top and wait until the coil has soaked.
- Start at low power within the installed coil's wattage range and work your way up slowly.
- Adjust the airflow to suit your draw. Do not draw when the pod is almost empty, as this risks scorching.
