Zauberwürfel
Zauberwürfel is the natural coal brand of Shanti Großhandels GmbH from Osnabrück. At Hookain Onlineshop you will find its coconut shell cubes in 26 and 27 mm, as a 1 kg pack or a 20 kg carton.
Natural coal from coconut shells
Zauberwürfel is natural coal: pressed coal made from coconut shells, with no chemical additives and no ignition aid. It is produced in Indonesia. You cannot light it with a lighter; you need a coal burner or a gas torch. The cubes stay there until they are glowing all the way through. Only then do they go on the bowl or on the HMD, the heat management device that holds the coal above the bowl.
- 26 and 27 mm
edge length of the cubes - 64 / 54
cubes per kilo (26 mm / 27 mm) - Indonesia
origin - 1 kg and 20 kg
pack sizes
26 mm or 27 mm
You can tell the boxes apart by their colour: the 26 mm in black and red, the 27 mm in orange. A 26 mm cube burns for around 1.5 hours, a 27 mm cube for up to 120 minutes. The ash content is about 2 to 3 %. If your session runs longer, add a freshly glowing cube.
Can I light Zauberwürfel with a lighter?
No. Natural coal needs a coal burner or gas torch and must be glowing all the way through before it goes on the bowl.
What is the difference between 26 mm and 27 mm?
Edge length and weight per cube: one kilo of 26 mm has 64 cubes, one kilo of 27 mm has 54 cubes. The 27 mm cubes burn for up to 120 minutes.
What is the coal made of?
Pressed coconut shells, with no chemical additives.
What is in the 20 kg carton?
20 packs of 1 kg each. For the 26 mm that makes 1,280 cubes, for the 27 mm 1,080 cubes.
