The DotMod dotPod Plus is a slim stick-format pod kit. It has a built-in 1500 mAh battery, adjusts from 5 to 35 W and takes magnetically held pods with a 3 ml capacity and a built-in mesh coil. The device measures 121.4 × 27.8 × 15.8 mm and weighs around 90 g with a pod. The housing of this variant is green (Green).
Battery and power
It charges via USB-C at 5 V / 2 A. Output power ranges from 5 to 35 W. In Auto mode (Smart-VW) the device detects the resistance of the pod and sets a suitable power level. The housing is made of zinc alloy with an IML finish, and the pod is made of clear PCTG.
Pod and coils
The dotPod Plus pods hold 3 ml and are filled from the side (side-fill, silicone plug). The pod stays on the device while you fill it. The mesh coil is fixed in the pod, so when it wears out you replace the whole pod. There are dotPod Plus pods with 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 ohm. The stated wattage ranges are 28 to 35 W (0.4 ohm), 22 to 24 W (0.6 ohm), 16 to 20 W (0.8 ohm) and 14 to 16 W (1.0 ohm). The 0.4 and 0.6 ohm pods are aimed at RDL, the 0.8 and 1.0 ohm pods at MTL.
Operation
The device starts via the draw sensor or the fire button. With the power button, 3 clicks change the power, 4 clicks lock the device and 6 clicks switch the display theme. The 0.96-inch colour display shows battery level, power, resistance and puff counter, and offers the Velocity and Solar themes. With the airflow slider on the side you set the draw from tight (MTL) to more open (DL).
Getting started with the dotPod Plus
- Charge the device via USB-C.
- Fill the pod from the side through the silicone plug and leave it for a few minutes so the coil soaks through.
- Start with low power within the wattage range of your pod. In Auto mode the device takes care of this setting.
- Set the airflow slider to the draw you want and work your way up with short puffs.

Which pods fit the dotPod Plus?
