The Eleaf iCita SE is a stick-format pod system with a built-in 1400 mAh battery, up to 40 watts, colour touchscreen and airflow slider. It accepts iCita pods with a built-in mesh coil. The pod holds 3 ml and is filled from the side. The Gradient Green Purple version has a body with a gradient from Purple at the top to Green tending towards Turquoise at the bottom.
Battery and power
The battery is not replaceable and charges via USB-C at up to 2 A. The device has three power levels: Low, Medium and High. The appropriate power depends on the pod resistance: 0.3 ohm runs at 30 to 40 W, 0.6 ohm at 15 to 25 W and 0.8 ohm at 13 to 20 W. A time limit stops each draw after 8 seconds.
Pod and coils
The coil is built into the pod. If vapour production decreases, replace the entire pod. iCita pods are available with 0.3, 0.6 and 0.8 ohm; the device also fits pods from the original iCita kit. Fill from the side through an opening with a silicone plug, leaving the pod attached to the mod.
Operation
The iCita SE is draw-activated and has no fire button: draw on the mouthpiece and the device fires. Tap the touchscreen five times to change the power level. The icon colour indicates the level: Green means Low, Blue Medium and Red High. The slider adjusts the airflow in stages, from a tight MTL draw through RDL to open DL.
Getting started with the iCita SE
- Charge the battery via the USB-C port.
- Open the silicone plug on the pod and fill it to just below the maximum mark. Close the plug again.
- Leave the filled pod for a few minutes to let the coil soak. A dry pod scorches.
- Attach the pod, adjust the airflow slider and select the lowest power level. Only increase it as far as the pod resistance allows.
