The Uwell Typhos is a pod system with a built-in 2000 mAh battery, up to 45 W and a 1.05-inch colour display. The kit includes two pods, each holding 6 ml: one with a 0.3 ohm dual mesh coil for DL, one with a 0.6 ohm mesh coil for MTL and RDL. Filling is from the side; adjust the airflow with the slider. This variant has a Silver body. You can find more devices from the brand under Uwell pod systems.
Battery and power
The battery is built in and charges via USB-C at 5 V / 2 A. Output power reaches up to 45 W. Two modes are available: Wave with steady power and Storm with stronger output. The display shows battery level, mode, power, coil resistance, puff duration and puff count. Three colour themes and a day/night mode can be selected.
Pod and coils
Each pod holds 6 ml and fills from the side through a silicone plug without needing removal from the device. It is held magnetically. The mesh coil is built into the pod; replace the entire pod when it wears out. Typhos Pods are available with 0.3 ohm Dual Mesh (26–45 W), 0.6 ohm Single Mesh (13–25 W) and 0.8 ohm Single Mesh (10–18 W).
Operation
The device starts by draw activation or the fire button and has a two-click lock. Use the side slider to adjust the airflow from tight (MTL) to open (RDL). With the 0.3 ohm coil, you use DL.
Getting started with the Typhos
- Charge the battery via USB-C before first use. A charging cable is not included.
- Fill the pod from the side: open the silicone plug, add e-liquid and close the plug firmly.
- Leave the freshly filled pod for a few minutes to let the coil soak. Otherwise there is a risk of scorching (dry hit).
- Insert the pod and start with the airflow fairly closed.
- Start at low power within the coil's wattage range, around 13 W for the 0.6 ohm coil, then increase slowly.
