The Vaporesso XROS 5 Mini is a compact pod system without a display and without a fire button. It has a built-in 1,500 mAh battery and fires with draw activation. The COREX 3.0 pod with a 0.6 ohm mesh coil holds 3 ml and is filled from the top. Housing colour of this version: Pastel, a gradient of light blue, purple and pink.
Battery and power
The battery is built in and is charged via USB-C with 5 V and 2 A. The device regulates the power electronically to suit the pod. The aluminium housing measures around 110.5 × 24.2 × 14.1 mm.
Pod and coils
The device contains an XROS COREX 3.0 pod with a fixed 0.6 ohm mesh coil, designed for the restricted lung draw (RDL). The tank made of PCTG holds 3 ml. To fill it, you take off the mouthpiece and fill from the top. The pod is held magnetically. The coil cannot be wound yourself: if the draw weakens, you replace the whole pod.
The device takes all XROS pods. If you want the direct-lung draw (DL), use a 0.4 ohm pod, which is available separately. You can find replacement pods under pods with built-in coils, and the other devices of the brand under Vaporesso pod systems.
Operation
You draw on the mouthpiece, and the device fires by itself. There is no button and no display either. LEDs show the charge level and the status. You set the draw resistance continuously from MTL to RDL with the slider on the side.
How to get started with the XROS 5 Mini
- Charge the battery via USB-C.
- Take the mouthpiece off the pod and fill it from the top.
- Put the mouthpiece back on and let the coil soak for a few minutes so that the cotton is saturated. Otherwise it burns.
- Set the draw resistance with the airflow slider.

Is there a button or a display?

Which pods fit?
All XROS pods, that is COREX 2.0 and 3.0 with 2 or 3 ml and resistances from 0.4 to 1.2 ohm. The pods are bought separately.
Do the colours differ technically?
No. Battery, pod and scope of delivery are the same for all colours, and only the design of the housing changes.

schön leicht
bin zufrieden, mit kleinen abstrichen. kurzes feedback nach drei wochen. auch mit meinem kumpel unterwegs spüre ich das gewicht in der tasche kaum. am anfang habe ich öfter falsch bedient, inzwischen klappt es. 🙂

hatte mehr erwartet
ich nutze es nur ab und zu, etwa abends auf der dachterrasse, dafür soll es dann zuverlässig funktionieren. ich bin leider ein stück weit enttäuscht. für mich ist das ganze zu umständlich, ich will einfach nur dapfen.

Ordentliche Sache
Neben meinem großen Gerät wollte ich etwas Kleines, das ich mit meiner Freundin mitnehmen kann. Keine scharfen Kanten, keine Spaltmaße, über die man sich ärgern müsste. Die Dampfmenge passt für mich, nicht zu wenig und nicht übertrieben. Seit zwei Monaten begleitet es mich in der Jacke, ohne dass es aufträgt. Mir is die Anzeige etwas zu schlicht geraten.
