Mouthpieces as hookah accessories

Hardly any accessory comes in as many materials as the mouthpiece. Stainless steel, aluminium and carbon are almost level at the top, followed by plastic, epoxy resin, wood (in some cases oak) and silicone. Many models combine two or three of these materials.

Choosing a mouthpiece by material

• Metal: Among the metals, aluminium conducts heat much more strongly than stainless steel. The material filter shows which of the two is used.
• Carbon and resin: These mouthpieces usually combine several materials; the description states which section is made of what.
• Wood: Wooden mouthpieces often have metal or leather sections and come with their own care instructions from the manufacturer.
• Fit: Check the description to see which hose or system a mouthpiece is intended for, and note the stated length.
