Charging cells externally with the SC2
Many mods run on removable battery cells instead of a built-in battery. You charge the cells outside the device in the SC2: that way you always have a full cell to swap in, and the mod does not have to sit on a cable.
The SC2 charges lithium-ion cells up to the end-of-charge voltage of 4.2 V and then switches off. It draws power via USB-C, from a wall adapter, laptop or power bank.
