AO Hookah · AO - Charcoal Tongs - Classic
€2.90*
The AO Classic is a compact stainless steel charcoal tongs, around 16 cm long, with an attached piercing pin. The broad jaws grip the charcoal, and the pin lets you perforate the aluminium foil or nudge cubes into place.
Broad jaws, short design
The arms widen towards the front into flat jaws that grip the charcoal cube well. A decoration is engraved on the outside, and at the back both arms are joined into a spring bracket. Thanks to the short design the Classic suits small setups and takes up little room in the accessory box.
Pin for aluminium foil and charcoal
A thin pin hangs from a ring at the spring end. You use it to poke holes in the aluminium foil over the head or to shift glowing cubes into place, without reaching for a second tool.
What is included
- 1 × AO Classic charcoal tongs with pin
Frequently asked questions
How long is the AO Classic?
Around 16 cm. That makes it clearly shorter than tongs of 22 or 30 cm, so your hand is closer to the embers.
Do I need the pin with an HMD or chimney head?
With an HMD or a head without foil, piercing is not needed. The pin then still helps to nudge the charcoal into place.
What is the Classic made of?
Tongs and pin are made of stainless steel.

Easy to clean
I don’t smoke much, mostly with my brother, and just need tongs that work. Quickly adjust the heat, cubes to the edge, done. Low maintenance, I hardly need to clean them. A little more grip on the handle would be nice.

Solide Mitte
Durchschnitt, würde ich sagen. Nicht zu leicht, dadurch fühlt sie sich hochwertig an. Für kleine Hände ist die Federung etwas kräftig.

Satisfied with reservations
As a regular smoker I use tongs all the time, so they have to be good. Finally tongs where your fingers don’t have to get so close to the coals. I can grab even small bits of coal exactly where I want. Doesn't cost the earth and delivers what it promises. Well protected, nothing happened on the way. I’d prefer a lighter version.
