The Geekvape Aegis Solo 3 Kit consists of a mod for one 18650 battery cell and the Z Subohm 2021 Tank. The mod delivers up to 100 watts, and the tank holds 5.5 ml. Two Z coils with 0.2 and 0.4 ohm are included. The battery cell is not included. This variant is called Titanium Grey and has a Grey body. You can find more devices from the brand under Geekvape mod sets.
Mod and power
Power is adjustable from 5 to 100 watts, and the resistance range is 0.1 to 3.0 ohm. The AS 4.0 chipset offers Power, VW, TC/TCR, Boost, ECO and Memory modes, with five memory slots. A 0.96-inch colour display shows the readings. The back is soft-touch: picking up the device unlocks it; putting it down locks it again. This can be disabled in Unlock mode. Charge the cell inside the device via USB-C at up to 2 A. The body is protected against water and dust to IP68.
Tank, coils and draw
The mod has a 510 thread and accommodates tanks up to 24 mm in diameter without overhang. The Z Subohm 2021 Tank fills from the top, where you also adjust the airflow. The pre-installed 0.2 ohm coil is designed for 70 to 80 watts; the 0.4 ohm coil for 50 to 60 watts. Both are intended for DL.
Getting started with the Aegis Solo 3
- Insert a charged 18650 cell with a high current rating. Observe the polarity.
- Before first filling, wet the coil with a few drops of e-liquid and leave it to soak for a few minutes.
- Fill the tank from the top and wait until the coil has soaked.
- Start at the lower end of the coil's wattage range and increase power gradually.
- Adjust the airflow to suit your draw. Do not draw when the tank is almost empty, as this risks scorching.

How does the lock work?

Angenehme Haptik
Man hört fast nichts, wenn man zieht, das mag ich. Die Oberfläche fühlt sich angenehm an, weder glitschig noch rau. Auch mit halbvollem Akku merke ich keinen Unterschied beim Dampf.

Gute Sache
Es gibt nur einen kleinen Punkt zu meckern. Wenig Gewicht, aber trotzdem nicht billig wirkend, die Balance stimmt. Von der Form her hätte ich mir etwas Eleganteres vorgestellt.

Passt in jede Tasche
Meine Bewertung nach einiger Nutzung. Das Grau sieht in echt noch etwas edler aus als auf den Bildern. Nachbestellen werde ich auf jeden Fall. Der Versand war zuverlässig, so wie ich es kenne. Am Luftregler rastet es sauber ein und verstellt sich nicht von allein. Man muss nicht lange überlegen, was wie funktioniert, es erklärt sich von selbst. Auf Reisen nehme ich nur noch dieses Gerät mit, weil es so wenig Platz braucht.
