How to pack Argileh properly
Argileh is Virginia and forgives mistakes when packing the head. We explain here what black hookah tobacco is. Pack loosely in a phunnel or a classic clay bowl, use two coals and let the bowl come up to temperature patiently.
The mint and Chapo flavours come across most clearly at moderate heat - too much charcoal makes the mint sharp and the ice note flat.
Practical tip: Green Power is pure mint - ideal for mixing with fruit flavours when you want to add a cool note.
Storage: how Argileh stays good for long
Store the tins cool, dark and airtight - never next to a heater and not open in sunlight. Smoke opened tins within a few weeks; after that the tobacco gives up moisture and aroma.
If the tobacco feels dry or crumbly, it has fallen below the standard the brand intended. It is then better to open a fresh tin.
