How to pack O's properly
O's is Virginia and forgives mistakes when packing the head. Pack the tobacco loosely in a phunnel or a traditional clay bowl, add two coals and give it time to draw.
The ice and citrus flavours come across most clearly at moderate heat - too much charcoal makes the acidity sharp and the ice note flat.
Practical tip: Queen of the Desert with prickly pear and coconut is the creamy exception in the brand's range - if you like it soft, start here.
Storage: how O's stays good for long
Keep the tins in a cool, dark and airtight place - away from the heating and never open in the sun. Smoke opened tins within a few weeks, because after that the tobacco loses moisture and aroma.
If the tobacco feels dry or brittle, it is no longer in the condition the brand intended. In that case it is better to open a fresh tin.
Note: hookah tobacco is for adults only. Products containing nicotine can cause addiction - including Virginia tobacco with a low nicotine content.
Which O's size suits you
The 25 g tins are suited for getting to know individual flavours. The 200 g pack is the standard for flavours you smoke regularly. The 1000 g tin is worthwhile for long-running favourites.
