Can I buy hookah tobacco with PayPal?
Yes. In the Hookain Onlineshop in Germany, you can pay for hookah tobacco and pipe tobacco with PayPal, PayPal Pay Later, credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, with no surcharge. Here I explain how your order works with the age check, what buyer protection covers and what applies to pipe tobacco.

PayPal handles all five methods for us. Which of them show up for your order, you'll see at checkout.

How your order with PayPal works
Put your hookah tobacco in the cart and choose PayPal at checkout. You confirm the payment with PayPal and are then taken back to your order confirmation.
We only sell tobacco to people aged 18 or over. In Germany, the age verification is part of the order process and has to be completed before dispatch; after a successful check, the parcel is handed over in person. That's why we don't promise delivery to a parcel locker.
Buyer protection and costs
If you pay via PayPal, PayPal buyer protection applies under PayPal's terms, for example if a paid parcel doesn't arrive. PayPal itself checks whether your case is covered.
We don't charge a surcharge for PayPal. You pay the final amount shown at checkout: prices include the statutory German VAT, and you see the shipping costs before you complete your purchase.

Paying for pipe tobacco with PayPal
The same payment methods apply to pipe tobacco as to hookah tobacco. In the range, it is mostly designed as a dry base with aroma: it contains aroma and sugar, but no glycerine. One example is Fog Your Law Dry Base with aroma, other brands are Adalya and True Cloudz.
Important: In Germany, anyone who mixes pipe tobacco with taxed glycerine is producing water pipe tobacco. This is only permitted with a permit in a tax warehouse and has to be taxed immediately.

Frequently asked questions
When is my order shipped if I pay with PayPal?
After paying with PayPal, you see your order confirmation right away. We hand the parcel over to DHL as soon as the payment has arrived and the age verification is complete; within Germany, DHL usually delivers within 1-3 working days.
What do I do if the PayPal payment is interrupted?
First check your PayPal account to see whether money was debited or reserved. Then write to us with your order number, the payment method you chose and the error message; you'll find how to contact us under Questions and answers. Please don't send full card or login details with it.
Why can't I see the PayPal button on the product page?
We show the PayPal quick purchase in the cart, in the mini cart and on the login page. On the product page, you first put the tobacco in the cart and choose PayPal there.
