The Geekvape Aegis Legend 5 Kit consists of a mod for two 18650 battery cells and the Z Subohm Tank 5. The mod delivers up to 200 watts, and the tank holds 5.5 ml. Two Z-XM coils with 0.2 and 0.4 ohm are included, both for DL. The battery cells are not included. This variant has a Gold body. You can find more devices from the brand under Geekvape mod sets.
Mod and power
Power ranges from 5 to 200 watts; resistance from 0.1 to 3.0 ohm. The AS 4.0 chipset offers five modes: Smart, Normal, ECO, Custom and TC with temperature control from 100 to 315 °C. In Smart mode, the device detects the coil resistance. Custom is intended for your own power curves. The 1.08-inch colour display has adjustable RGB lighting. A slider switch on the side locks the fire button, for example when carrying it in a pocket. Charging is via USB-C. The body is protected against water and dust to IP68.
Tank, coils and draw
The Z Subohm Tank 5 has a 29 mm diameter and a 510 thread. It fills from the top, where the airflow is also continuously adjustable. The Z-XM coils are inserted from below. The pre-installed 0.2 ohm coil is designed for 70 to 80 watts; the 0.4 ohm coil for 50 to 60 watts.
Getting started with the Aegis Legend 5
- Insert two charged 18650 cells with a high current rating. Observe the polarity.
- Before first filling, wet the coil with a few drops of e-liquid and leave it to soak for a few minutes.
- Fill the tank from the top and wait until the coil has soaked.
- Start at the lower end of the coil's wattage range and increase power gradually.
- Open the airflow to suit your draw. Do not draw when the tank is almost empty, as this risks scorching.
