The Geekvape Aegis Legend 5 Kit consists of a mod for two 18650 battery cells and the Z Subohm Tank 5. The mod delivers up to 200 watts and the tank holds 5.5 ml. Two Z XM coils of 0.2 and 0.4 ohm are included, both for DL. The battery cells are not included. This variant has a red body. You can find more devices from the brand in the Geekvape Mod Sets.
Device and power
Power ranges from 5 to 200 watts, and the resistance range from 0.1 to 3.0 ohm. The AS 4.0 chipset offers five modes: Smart, Normal, ECO, Custom and TC with temperature control from 100 to 315 °C. In Smart mode the device detects the resistance of the coil. Custom is meant for your own power curves. The 1.08-inch colour display has adjustable RGB lighting. A slide switch on the side locks the fire button, for example for your pocket. Charging is via USB-C. The body is protected against water and dust to IP68.
Tank, coils and draw style
The Z Subohm Tank 5 has a 29 mm diameter and a 510 thread. It is filled from the top, and the airflow is adjusted continuously at the top. The Z XM coils are inserted from below. The pre-installed 0.2 ohm head is designed for 70 to 80 watts, the 0.4 ohm head for 50 to 60 watts.
Getting started with the Aegis Legend 5
- Insert two charged 18650 cells with a high current rating. Mind the polarity.
- Prime the coil head with a few drops of e-liquid before the first fill and let it soak for a few minutes.
- Fill the tank from the top and wait until the coil has soaked up the liquid.
- Start at the lower end of the coil's wattage range and raise the power step by step.
- Open the airflow to suit your draw. Do not vape when the tank is almost empty, otherwise the cotton may burn.

Good stuff
Close to five stars. Nothing to take apart when cleaning it, which saves time. Comparing notes with my flatmate, more of the flavour came through on mine. Lightning-fast shipping, I hadn't expected that. A bit chunky for my taste, even if it works well. It's a reasonable choice

Nach vielen Jahren mit verschiedenen Geräten habe ich ziemlich klare Vorstellungen. Ein kurzer Griff zum Airflow und der Zug passt wieder zu meinem Liquid. Nach zwei Wochen fühlt sich die Bedienung endlich selbstverständlich an.

So ganz überzeugt bin ich nicht. Mit meinem Liquid entsteht ein runder, voller Dampf. Ablesen klappt, nur auf der Terrasse im Gegenlicht wird es manchmal knifflig. Die vielen guten Stimmen kann ich für mich nicht nachvollziehen. Ist halt Geschmackssache.
