The Vaporesso XROS 5 is a pod system in stick format with a built-in 1,500 mAh battery and up to 30 watts. In the EU version the COREX 3.0 pods hold 2 ml, have a fixed mesh coil and are filled from the top. The kit contains two pods with 0.6 and 0.8 ohm. Housing colour of this version: black..
Battery and power
The battery is built in and is charged via USB-C with up to 3 A. The device delivers a maximum of 30 watts. With 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2 ohm pods you choose between the Eco, Normal and Power levels. With a 0.4 ohm pod in the device, you set the power from 15 to 30 watts in 0.5 watt steps. The aluminium housing measures around 120.8 × 24.5 × 14.5 mm.
Pod and coils
The pods are made of PCTG, and the coil sits fixed in the pod. If the draw weakens or tastes burnt, you replace the whole pod. The pod is held magnetically and is filled from the top. The device takes all XROS pods with 2 or 3 ml and resistances of 0.4 to 1.2 ohm.
In the kit, a pod with 0.6 ohm is pre-installed in the device, and a second one with 0.8 ohm is included. Both are designed for the restricted lung draw (RDL). You can find replacement pods under pods with built-in coils, and the other devices from the brand among the Vaporesso pod systems.
Operation
The XROS 5 has draw activation and a fire button. The 0.88 inch colour display shows battery level and power level, and six themes are available. Five clicks on the button switch the device on and off, three clicks open the power selection. The button can be locked. You adjust the draw resistance continuously with the airflow slider on the side.
How to get started with the XROS 5
- Charge the battery via USB-C.
- Fill the pod from the top (top-fill).
- Let the coil soak for a few minutes so that the cotton is saturated. Otherwise it burns.
- Switch the device on with five clicks.
- Begin with the Eco level and only then switch to Normal or Power.
- Set the draw resistance with the airflow slider.

Nichts klappert

Airflow adjusts finely
The black looks a bit classier in person than in the pictures. After three weeks, the airflow still stays exactly where I set it. The shipping email came on Sunday evening, the parcel shortly after. The indicator is a little too basic for my taste.
