Flower is an umbrella term in the filter. It marks a perfumed, blossomy flavour that is more fragrant than fruity. Which blossom is meant is often shown by additional values on the same variety: violet blossom and rose are the most common.
- Violet has a powdery, sweet note reminiscent of violet pastilles.
- Rose is heavier and more perfumed.
- Honeydew melon is the most frequent non-floral partner and brings fruit sweetness into play; now and then blueberry or grape sit alongside.
Because blossom notes quickly dominate, many people use them as a small share next to a fruit when mixing their own. For the set-up, the bowl's rim also counts: an HMD or chimney attachment only sits level if the lip is flat and offers enough contact surface. Floral varieties are available from brands including Kismet, Theo, Darkside, Moze Shisha and Vandenberg.
