Green tea tastes different from black tea: grassy, vegetal, with a bitter, astringent note. As a tobacco flavour it stands for a tea direction that is less malty and more green.

The tea almost always gets a companion with acidity or sweetness. Lemon is the clear favourite among the pairings. Peach and lime appear less often, honey and peach blossom only occasionally – both notes that are also familiar from flavoured tea blends.

Glaze cracks on the bowl

Fine cracks in the glaze of a ceramic bowl, known as crazing or craquelure, form when the body and the glaze expand to different degrees. With use, these hairline cracks can darken.
