Sugar as a flavour in hookah tobacco: sweetness as a note
Here sugar is a flavour value of its own: the sweetness is not just implied but named explicitly. It appears on just a handful of varieties.

With the value sugar, sweetness itself is the flavour: clear, slightly caramel-like, without fruit. It should be kept apart from the taste value sweet, which describes a direction and is spread across a great many varieties; only a few carry sugar as a flavour.
The partners show what the sweetness is used for. Lemon and lime combined with sugar give a profile like sweetened citrus juice or lemonade, cinnamon one like cinnamon sugar, milk a note like sweetened milk. There is no single dominant partner.
On the bowl: a glaze is a thin glassy coating that makes the porous body of a ceramic bowl almost watertight; the core underneath remains porous. Sugar varieties are available from Blackburn, Blaze Dark Leaf, 187 Strassenbande and Darkside, among others. For sweet varieties in general, the taste filter sweet is the better starting point.
