Oriental describes a flavour direction: spicy and warm, sometimes with notes of dried fruit or blossoms. The value is the manufacturers' classification of the taste, not a statement about where the tobacco comes from. Which spices or fruits are involved is shown by the individual variety.
Spicy regularly appears on the varieties listed here. Especially intense, sweet, fruity and fresh are each added occasionally, so the spectrum runs from spicy-sweet to spicy-fresh.
- Bowl: in the scene's usage, a clay bowl often means the classic brown multi-hole bowl with several holes in the base.
- Selection: oriental varieties are stocked from Tumbaki, Revoshi, Kismet and Venookah, among others; the value spicy shows further spice-led varieties.
- Filter: as the selection is small, it pays to switch to spicy or floral, which cover related directions.
