The taste value spicy covers flavours that taste of spices or herbs: warm, woody, sometimes fiery, sometimes herbal. The flavour filter names the individual ingredient, listing cinnamon, clove or anise, for instance, as values of their own.
Spicy is most often combined with sweet, for example in baked and cinnamon profiles. Fresh and fruity follow; tart is notable, as it appears far more often with spicy varieties than in other taste directions.
Heat via the HMD
An HMD sits on the bowl, with the charcoal inside a metal housing. Using the lid, adjusted or removed, you control the heat supply. Spicy profiles come from Sebero, Blaze Dark Leaf, Aino, Al Fakher and Kismet, among others. With tart as a second filter, the dry spice profiles remain.
