The taste value tart is about dryness rather than sweetness: an astringent, somewhat tannic impression like that of black tea, grapefruit peel or dark herbs. Compared with bitter, tart is less pronounced in bitterness and drier instead.
The companions show the direction: spicy appears alongside by far the most often, followed by sweet, which offsets the dryness. Especially intense, fruity and fresh also appear regularly.
- Fit on the bowl: we know of no standard for bowl grommets and connections, and common sizes simply follow the market. When unsure, hold your old grommet up for comparison.
- Manufacturers: tart varieties are stocked from Kismet, Blaze Dark Leaf, Bad & Mad, Al Waha and Musthave, among others.
- Filter: with spicy as a second value you narrow the list to spice-led varieties.
