Flavour of Veritas
Veritas relies on frankincense with oriental spices. The profile is spicy and tart, without fruit. The spice blend stays in the background, and the frankincense leads.
Base tobacco and cut
Kismet Noir is a moist, ready-to-smoke blend of Burley, Dark Air Cured, Oriental and a share of Virginia, refined with honey. The cut is fine to medium. The base tastes earthy, spicy and slightly tart and can subtly recall a cigar with more heat. The tobacco is made by Vandenberg in Germany.
Bowl and heat
In the phunnel you pack Kismet loosely to slightly compact and leave a small distance to the HMD. In a multi-hole bowl, fill loosely so that the heat arrives evenly. HMD or aluminium foil are both common. Start with controlled heat and increase it only when the flavour stays clean.

Etwas trocken
Leider nit das, was ich erwartet hatte. Man schmeckt Weihrauch vom ersten Zug an. Trotz ordentlicher Hitze kamen im Wohnzimmer nur dünne Wolken, da hatte ich mir mehr versprochen. Für meinen Geschmack etwas trocken, ich hab noch Molasse dazugegeben. Nicht für mich, aber vielleicht für andere.

Both notes come through!
First time trying anything from Kismet. Frankincense and spice blend sit in a nicely judged balance. I just keep the pack in the cupboard and it stays juicy.
