Kismet Cherry Blossom brings cherry, berries and cherry blossom together on a honey-refined dark blend. It comes in a 200 g tin.
Cherry, berries and blossom
Bright, juicy cherry opens the flavour, with berries right behind it. A floral cherry blossom note makes each pull softer. Overall it is fruity and lightly flowery with a subtle berry mix behind the cherry, and the honey base makes it sweet.
What sits underneath
Every flavour of the brand is built on Kismet Noir: Burley, dark air-cured and Oriental leaf plus a share of Virginia, kept moist and sweetened with honey. Expect a fine to medium cut. By itself the base is earthy and spicy with a slight tartness; pushed harder, it shows a light cigar character. Kismet is produced in Germany by Vandenberg.
Building the bowl
For a phunnel, a loose to lightly firm pack works, with a little space left below the HMD. Multi-hole bowls get a loose fill so heat spreads evenly. Whether you use an HMD or foil is up to you. Begin gently and raise the heat step by step while the taste stays clean.
