Start Now Xtra is a Virginia shisha tobacco in a 200 g tin. Flavour: chewing gum with mint.

Flavour of Xtra

Xtra combines sweet chewing gum with mint. The profile is sweet, minty and cool, comparable to menthol chewing gum.

Base tobacco and cut

The base tobacco is Virginia Leaf. The tobacco is moist but not wet and fills easily into the bowl. The tin is resealable.

Bowl and heat

Start Now runs in a Phunnel or in a multi-hole bowl. Fill the tobacco loosely and do not press it down. An HMD or a chimney suits it; a few pieces of charcoal are enough for the heat.

One tin of Start Now Xtra with 200 g of shisha tobacco.

Room to improve

Middling for me. With 200 g you’re not through it after a couple of evenings, I’ve been on it for two months now and still have plenty left. Sttaying power could be better, the aroma drops off near the end. Tried two bowls, but it’s not for me.
