Blackburn Top Ze 200 g is a Dark Blend hookah tobacco on a Burley base from Russia.
What Top Ze tastes like
Top Ze recalls a lollipop with mint and a herbal note: sweet, minty and slightly floral.
Base tobacco and building the bowl
Dark Burley contains more nicotine than Virginia tobacco. Blackburn is cut medium-fine and very moist. It runs best in a phunnel: fill loosely, leave about 3 mm of air to the rim and do not press it down. Aluminium foil or an HMD goes over it. Start with little heat; two to three charcoals are usually enough, and add more only when the smoke gets thin. If Burley neat is too strong for you, mix it with Virginia tobacco.

Frequently asked questions about Blackburn Top Ze
Do I have to stir the tobacco before building the bowl?
Yes. The molasses collects at the bottom; stirring thoroughly once distributes it again.
Which bowl suits it?
A phunnel. That way the very moist tobacco stays above the hole and the molasses does not run into the smoke column.

too little aroma
you can tell there’s burley underneath, and it suits the blend. a bit dry for my liking, i added some molasses. only a hint of the profile made it through for me.

Daumen hoch
Ich mach es kurz: gefällt mir. Bis zum Schluss kommt noch Geschmack, erst ganz am Ende wird es milder. Wird nicht kratzig und schmeckt auch nach einem langen Abend mit meinem Bruder noch sauber. Was mir gefällt: Man schmeckt genau das, was draufsteht!
