Frequently bought together

The Uwell Typhos SE is a pod system with a built-in 2,000 mAh battery, up to 45 W and an aluminium body with a faux-leather finish. Instead of a screen, it has an LED indicator. The kit includes a 6 ml pod with a built-in 0.6 ohm mesh coil, designed for MTL through to RDL. This version has a grey housing.

Battery and power

The battery charges via USB-C at up to 2 A. The output goes up to 45 W and is regulated automatically. A 360° indicator LED shows the battery level, mode and system messages. There are two modes to choose from: Wave lights up purple, Storm orange. You switch between them by tapping the USB-C port quickly three times.

Pod and coils

The pod holds 6 ml and is filled from the side through a silicone plug. It sits magnetically in the device, and the mouthpiece is integrated into the pod. The 0.6 ohm single mesh coil works in the range of 13–25 W and is built into the pod. When it wears out, you replace the whole pod. The device supports Typhos pods from 0.3 to 0.8 ohm: 0.3 ohm dual mesh (26–45 W), 0.6 ohm (13–25 W), 0.8 ohm (10–18 W). You can find more pod systems from the manufacturer under the Uwell pod devices.

Operation

The Typhos SE starts by draw activation and has no fire button. With the slider on the side, you set the airflow from tight (MTL) to open (RDL). There is no screen, so you read the status from the LED.

Getting started with the Typhos SE

  1. Charge the battery via USB-C before first use.
  2. Fill the pod from the side: open the silicone plug, fill with e-liquid and close the plug firmly.
  3. Let the freshly filled pod rest for a few minutes so the coil is soaked. Otherwise there is a risk of a dry hit.
  4. Insert the pod and set the airflow fairly tight to begin with.
  5. Start at a low output. With the 0.6 ohm coil, the range is 13–25 W.
