Caramel is made when sugar is heated until it browns. The flavour is accordingly sweet, but not only that: it has a roasted note, a buttery side and a touch of bitterness at the end. In tobacco it belongs to the dessert flavours.
- Vanilla and cheesecake are level at the front and make the profile creamier.
- Salt gives the salted caramel direction, in which sweetness and salt face each other.
- Pistachio and coconut add a nutty note.
On caring for the bowl: unglazed clay bowls absorb molasses into their pores. When boiling one clean, lower it carefully into water that is already boiling; a fall into the water can crack it. Afterwards it dries completely before you fill it again. Caramel varieties are available from Blaze Dark Leaf, Darkside, Theo, Whitecloud Berlin and Musthave, among others.
