The value ice describes a flavour component with a cooling effect that does not taste of anything in particular itself. That is why ice almost never stands alone but complements another note.

  • Candy is the most frequent companion; together they give a confectionery note with coldness.
  • Mint comes next and adds a herbal side as well.
  • Lemon, blueberry and cactus are level with each other – acidity, a dark berry and a green, cucumber-like note.

Ice, menthol, mint

The filter keeps these as three values of their own. Ice and menthol stand for the cold, mint for the herb. If you only want the cooling effect without a herbal note, search via ice. For the set-up in the bowl, the usual rule applies: a little space between the tobacco and the cover. Ice varieties are carried by Darkside, 187 Strassenbande, Aino, Whitecloud Berlin and 7Days, among others.
